At The Azle Music & Enrichment Academy, our story began with a shared passion for education and a deep commitment to enriching the lives of young people in our community. As a longtime Azle ISD educator, Breanna Reed saw a growing need: students longed for a place where they could take music lessons, participate in creative programs, and explore their talents beyond the traditional classroom—all under one roof, close to home.
That vision became personal with the influence of her son, Gatlin Reed, an avid drummer whose love for music helped shape the Academy’s mission. Inspired by both her students and her own child, Breanna and her husband, Jon Reed, set out to create a space where music, arts, STEM, theatre, tutoring, and test preparation would come together to inspire and empower.
Jon, affectionately known as “Firefighter Jon” to many Azle students, is a retired Azle Firefighter who served the community for over 22 years before joining Lockheed Martin. His legacy of service fuels their desire to give back to the community they’ve proudly called home for more than two decades.
With over 15 years in education—including 8 years with Azle ISD—Breanna has been honored as Azle ISD’s Teacher of the Year and was named Region 11 Teacher of the Year for Building Culture and Community Beyond the Classroom. She is one of the founding educators and curriculum writers for Azle ISD’s Gifted and Talented Program. Breanna holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M and has been invited to pursue her Doctorate in the same field.
Today, The Azle Music & Enrichment Academy stands as a hub of creativity and growth. Whether mastering an instrument, building robots, or strengthening academic skills, our dedicated instructors are here to guide and encourage students every step of the way. We’re proud to be a place where students learn, grow, and express themselves—making music, art, and memories that will last a lifetime.
